In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share in a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organised events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organised TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organised (subject to certain rules and regulations).
The TEDx Antigua team is a group of qualified and accomplished young professionals and creatives who believe in challenging the status quo and nurturing transformative change within and through others. The vision is to foster a sustainable change in Antigua and Barbuda by capturing the experiences, knowledge and revelation of nationals.
The intention of TEDxAntigua is to become a conduit for exposing and promoting Antiguan and Barbudan ideas, creativity, innovation and culture to the rest of the world. The event will be held at the Dean William Lake Cultural Center on June 13th at 9:00a.m. Attendance is by invitation only.

The TEDxAntigua mission, similiar to the TED mission, is to propagate Ideas Worth Spreading; to inform and inspire long-term development. TEDxAntigua aims to instigate better sharing of great ideas, storytelling, creativity and actionable innovation in the Organization of Eastern Caribbean State (OECS) and to the rest of the world. Through this initiative, the TEDxAntigua team intends to create a sense of community amongst the people who will gather around the event.
